Bij de aankoop van een sieraad vinden we vaak de kleur en slijpvorm van een steen het allerbelangrijkst. Dit bepaalt natuurlijk de look en stijl van het juweel. Hoewel de look inspireert, is de slijtage na verloop van tijd ook van groot belang. Wat we adviseren om in overweging te nemen is een factor die soms over het hoofd wordt gezien; de hardheid van een edelsteen.
