Last weekend I had the chance to be an exhibitor at the “We Are Pregnant” fair, which took place in the beautiful Werkspoorkathedraal in Utrecht. The fair lasted three days, and it was a great experience full of encounters with enthusiastic visitors and expectant parents who were looking for something special. 
My stand was all about my collection of month gemstone birth rings. These rings are specially designed for different birth months, each with a unique gemstone that symbolizes that month. Many visitors were curious about the meaning of the stones and wanted to know which gemstone matched their date of birth. It was fun to advise and inform them about the symbolism behind each stone, and of course I measured the ring size of many visitors, so they could order a suitable ring. 
A particularly fun element of my stand was the vending machine ball machine that I had set up. In this machine were ring pops and tickets with numbers, with which visitors could participate in my special giveaway. The idea was simple: one lucky person would win a beautiful birth ring! The enthusiasm around the machine was contagious. People happily turned the mechanism, wondering if they might be the lucky winner.
The motto of my giveaway, “A precious gem for your most precious gem”, resonated well with the audience. It is a beautiful thought that a birth ring is not only a beautiful piece of jewelry, but also a lasting memory of a very special phase in someone’s life.
All in all, the three days at the fair were a success. It gave me the opportunity to not only show my work, but also to talk to people, hear their stories and help them find something personal and valuable. I am already looking forward to the next fair and the further adventures with my birth rings!
